WHAT TO EXPECT
Teachers
Our volunteers have a genuine passion for teaching and helping others. They are either qualified English Teachers or aspiring English Teachers. We also have a vibrant mix of native and non-native speakers from around the world.
Conversation
It is difficult to find people to talk to in English without being tempted to switch back to your native language. At BECC we are an English speaking only zone, and the conversation topics each week vary from job interviews to planning and booking a holiday.
Games
We are different from the other meetups, language exchanges, and conversation clubs in Bristol. Here we encourage our members to get up and start talking English through games, role plays, and interesting tasks. Be prepared to do a little running around some days!
Professional
BECC has been running since 2015, so we know what we are doing. We are professional but have a laid back atmosphere. If you are looking for somewhere where you can sit with a warm pint of ale and talk about repetitive everyday topics, then this is NOT the group for you.
